Authenticated SSRF via unvalidated guest-agent IP
Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026
SSRF in Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization 4 allows remote authenticated users to open TCP tunnels through the virt-api service. The port-forward handler passes vmi.Status.Interfaces[0].IP directly to net.Dial without validating a guest-agent-controlled address. Exploitation requires kubevirt.io:edit permission and a non-masquerade VMI, and permits access to routable cluster-internal destinations despite NetworkPolicy isolation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
