Physical code execution via NFC response overflow
Published Jul 29, 2026 · Updated Jul 29, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Autel MaxiCharger AC Elite Home 1.39.51 allows physically proximate attackers to execute device code via NFC. The NFC card-response handler overflows its fixed-length stack buffer when processing a crafted response. Physical NFC proximity is required, but authentication and user interaction are not; successful exploitation runs code in the device context.
