Physical code execution via unverified update image
Published Jul 29, 2026 · Updated Jul 29, 2026
Improper signature verification in Autel MaxiCharger AC Elite Home 1.39.51 allows physically proximate attackers to execute arbitrary code. The software-update handler accepts a user-supplied firmware image without properly validating its cryptographic signature before installation. Physical access is required, but no authentication or user interaction is needed, and successful exploitation runs code in the device context.
