Authenticated device compromise via guest Wi-Fi overflow
Published Jan 22, 2026 · Updated Jan 22, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AX1803 1.0.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via crafted guest Wi-Fi settings. The fromGetWifiGuestBasic function at /goform/WifiGuestSet fails to constrain guestWrlPwd, guestEn, guestSsid, hideSsid, or guestSecurity input before placing it in a stack buffer. A low-privileged management session is required; successful exploitation compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability on the router.
