Authenticated cross-user privilege escalation
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Authentication bypass in IBM Verify Identity Access and Security Verify Access allows remote authenticated users to assume another user's privileges. In versions 10.0 through 10.0.9.2 and 11.0 through 11.0.3, IBM has not disclosed which request field is assumed immutable or how the crafted request crosses the target user's authorization boundary. A low-privileged authenticated session is required; exploitation permits reading and modifying data available to the impersonated user, with no reported availability impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.0 <=10.0.9.2
