Contributor-level script execution via unescaped tooltip position
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Stored XSS in LogicHunt Logo Slider WP 5.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via tooltip settings. The Showcase Builder stores lgx_tooltip_position without sufficient sanitization, and front-end templates insert the value into generated markup without output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to save the crafted setting; the script then runs in the browser of each user who opens an affected page.
