Stored XSS via unescaped campaign-comment attributes
Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026
Stored XSS in GiveWP 4.16.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts through campaign-comments shortcode attributes. CampaignCommentsShortcode::parseAttributes passes block_id into BlockRenderController::render, which places it in a single-quoted HTML attribute without escaping. Author-level access is required; injected scripts execute in the browser of each user who opens the affected page and can act with that user's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
