Payment response forgery via missing signature validation
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Drupal Commerce Realex / Global Payments before 3.0.2 allows remote attackers to forge redirect payment responses. The redirect handler accepts a Global Payments HPP response without cryptographically validating its signature against the merchant shared secret. Only gateways configured for full-page redirects are exposed; the lightbox flow validates the signature, and a forged response can alter payment-processing state.
