Comment overwrite via unchecked feedback record identifier
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Drupal Advanced Content Feedback before 2.8.0 allows remote attackers to overwrite comments on feedback records. The comment endpoint accepts a caller-supplied feedback identifier without verifying that the caller cast that vote, so it writes a comment to an arbitrary record. Access requires the give feedback permission, which fresh installations grant to anonymous and authenticated roles, and the write changes feedback data only.
