Cross-tenant VM disruption via forged lifecycle events

Improper authentication in Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization 4 allows local users to force shutdowns or restarts of co-located VMs. The HandleDomainEvent and HandleK8SEvent gRPC handlers trust the request body’s namespace and name without binding them to the per-VMI pipe socket. Exploitation requires namespace edit access, a shell in the attacker’s virt-launcher pod, the victim VMI identity, and same-node placement; it grants no data access or code execution.
