CVE-2026-13183Network attack vector

Protected metadata recovery via timing oracle

Published Jul 22, 2026 · Updated Jul 22, 2026

Timing discrepancy in RadAsyncUpload in Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX before 2026.2.708 allows remote attackers to recover protected metadata. The upload handler's configuration-processing path validates protected upload metadata with response-time differences that disclose whether cryptographic checks succeeded. The application must use RadAsyncUpload; the resulting oracle exposes protected metadata without authentication or user interaction but does not alter data or interrupt service.
