Stored XSS via unvalidated AWS key location
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Stored XSS in Thinkst Applied Research Canarytokens before f5aa5c4e allows remote attackers to run JavaScript through a crafted AWS key link. _parse_aws_key_trigger accepts public_location without restricting its URL scheme, and ManageToken.vue binds the value directly to an anchor href. Exploitation requires the token's unguessable identifier and a user click; script execution is limited to extracting details for that AWS API Key Canarytoken.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
