Unauthenticated settings modification via exposed AJAX nonce
Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Missing authorization in weDevs StoreGrowth 2.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify BOGO category-message settings. The bogo_category_msg_create() AJAX handler accepts attacker-controlled settings after checking only ajd_protected, a nonce exposed on every frontend page, and writes them to spsg_bogo_general_settings without a capability check. Logged-out access is sufficient to alter promotional messaging; no broader data access or code execution is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
