Unauthenticated iked crash via crafted IKEv2 messages
Published Jul 2, 2026 · Updated Jul 2, 2026
A null pointer dereference in WatchGuard Fireware OS allows remote attackers to crash iked by sending crafted IKEv2 messages. WatchGuard has not published the iked code path that dereferences the null pointer or the message field that reaches it. Reachability requires Mobile User VPN with IKEv2 or Branch Office VPN with IKEv2 configured with a dynamic gateway peer, and the reported consequence is VPN service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=11.10.2 <=11.12.4+541730
- Affected versionversion=12.0 <=12.12
