CVE-2026-13054Network attack vector

Arbitrary file write via unvalidated archive paths

Published Jul 2, 2026 · Updated Jul 2, 2026

Path traversal in WatchGuard Fireware OS allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary files through the Management Web UI. The sigd service's comp_start_cb handler uses a signature-package archive path in file operations without validating that it remains in the intended directory. Device Administrator privileges are required; the resulting file creation can support code execution when chained with another flaw.
