Method dispatch and resource exhaustion via template injection
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Template injection in Form::Processor 0.06 through 1.162360 allows attackers to exhaust memory or dispatch methods via crafted HtmlArea markup. HtmlArea validation passes attacker-influenced HTML::Tidy diagnostics to add_error as Locale::Maketext templates, causing bracket notation to be compiled and invoked. Applications exposing an HtmlArea field can throw an uncaught exception or exhaust memory; custom language handles can also expose side-effecting public methods.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
