Unauthenticated order manipulation via omitted webhook signature
Published Feb 27, 2026 · Updated Feb 27, 2026
Improper authentication in Japanized for WooCommerce 2.8.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter order status through its Paidy webhook. When the x-paidy-signature header is absent, paidy_webhook_permission_check returns true instead of rejecting the request. No account or user interaction is required; a crafted POST can mark an unpaid order as Processing or Completed, misrepresenting its payment state.
