Unauthenticated stored XSS via unescaped form value
Published Jul 3, 2026 · Updated Jul 3, 2026
Stored XSS in Basix NEX-Forms 9.2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through unauthenticated form submissions. The wp_ajax_nopriv_submit_nex_form handler accepts real_val__ without nonce verification, stores it without sufficient sanitization, and later renders it without escaping. No account or CSRF token is required; the stored script executes when a user opens the affected submission or page and can act in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
