Authenticated database disclosure via unescaped event shortcode
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
SQL injection in BearDev JoomSport 5.7.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database data via the event shortcode. The shortcode handler passes its user-controlled event attribute into a player-selection SQL query without sufficient escaping or parameter preparation. Contributor-level access is required to embed the shortcode in a post or page, and the reported consequence is sensitive database disclosure.
