CVE-2026-12975Network attack vector

Blind SSRF and resource exhaustion via SAX parsing

Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026

XXE in Red Hat build of Apicurio Registry 3.0 through 3.2 allows remote attackers to trigger blind SSRF or service interruption. ContentTypeUtil.isParsableXml() creates a SAXParserFactory without secure processing or disabled external entities, so crafted XML fetches external DTDs or expands entities. Artifact-write permission is normally required, but the default unauthenticated configuration exposes the upload path; SSRF reveals indirect network reachability, while entity expansion exhausts service resources.
