CVE-2026-12971Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Blind outbound requests via unvalidated image URL

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Server-side request forgery in ThimPress LearnPress before 4.4.4 allows remote authenticated users to trigger blind outbound requests. The openai_apply_image_feature handler passes its image-url value to a server-side fetch before validating the response path or file type, so an attacker-controlled host receives the request. Exploitation requires an Instructor-owned course, the AI integration enabled with an API key, and a valid session; the fetched body is not returned, limiting disclosure to blind request effects and timing.
