CVE-2026-1286

Code execution via malicious project-file deserialization

Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026

Deserialization in EcoStruxure Foxboro DCS before CS8.1 allows local users to execute code by opening a malicious project file. The Control Software deserializes manipulated external project data without sufficiently validating its objects; Schneider Electric has not identified the affected parser or function. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open the file on a Foxboro DCS workstation, and Control Core Services and runtime components are unaffected.
