Authenticated taxonomy disclosure via incomplete capability mapping
Published Sep 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in Rock Lobster Inc. Flamingo 2.6.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read restricted taxonomy data. The flamingo_map_meta_cap() filter protects the plugin's admin interface but does not assign equivalent controls to taxonomies exposed by wp.getTerms and ajax-tag-search. Contributor-level access is required; exposed data is limited to channel names, submission counts, and contact tag names.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
