CVE-2026-1282Public exploitNetwork attack vector

UI redressing via unsanitized label-title tooltips

Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026

Stored HTML injection in GitLab project labels allows remote authenticated users to display attacker-controlled tooltip content. The labels page inserts a label title into the tooltip DOM without sanitizing HTML or CSS, so crafted div and image elements render when the tooltip opens. GitLab 18.6 before 18.6.6, 18.7 before 18.7.4, and 18.8 before 18.8.4 are affected; a victim must hover over or click the label, enabling full-screen UI redressing and cross-origin image requests that expose connection metadata.
