Authenticated command execution via crafted POST argument
Published Jun 21, 2026 · Updated Jun 21, 2026
Command injection in Edimax BR-6478AC V2 1.23 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via a crafted POST request. The mp function at /goform/mp places the attacker-controlled command argument into a downstream command context without neutralizing special elements. Low-privileged access to the router's POST handler is required, and successful exploitation runs commands in the handler's execution context.
