CVE-2026-12784Public exploit

Local privilege escalation via unrestricted raw disk access

Published Jun 21, 2026 · Updated Jun 21, 2026

Improper access control in IM-Magic Partition Resizer 7.9.0 and earlier allows local users to gain elevated privileges through its kernel driver. The MDA_NTDRV.sys device accepts raw read and write requests for a caller-selected physical disk without enforcing Windows access checks. A standard local user can bypass file ACLs to disclose or tamper with protected on-disk data, providing primitives for local privilege escalation.
