Login CSRF via missing OAuth state validation
Published Jul 4, 2026 · Updated Jul 4, 2026
Login cross-site request forgery in Dancer2::Plugin::Auth::OAuth before 0.23 allows remote attackers to bind callbacks to victim sessions. The authentication_url method omits a state value, while callback exchanges the supplied code and stores the token without proving that the same session initiated authorization. Victim interaction with an attacker-supplied callback is required; the resulting session uses the attacker's provider identity, and persistent account linking grants later access through those credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
