CVE-2026-12730Network attack vector

Server impersonation via unchecked certificate hostname

Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026

Certificate validation in IBM Business Automation Workflow allows remote authenticated users to connect the product to attacker-controlled servers. The product accepts a server certificate without properly confirming that its hostname matches the intended peer; IBM has not identified the responsible component or operation. Administrative privileges are required, and the resulting connection can expose or alter only the data exchanged with the impersonated server.

Exploitability

Present is not the same as exploitable

Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
