Subscriber-triggered data migration via unchecked AJAX action
Published Jul 3, 2026 · Updated Jul 3, 2026
Missing authorization in weDevs weDocs 2.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to trigger a BetterDocs data migration. The wedocs_migrate_betterdocs_to_wedocs AJAX handler calls do_migration() without nonce or capability checks before performing sensitive operations. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to create or modify docs, update site options, and deactivate BetterDocs plugins.
