CVE-2026-12663

Local code execution via writable installation directory

Published Sep 1, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026

Improper access control in Rockwell Automation ControlFLASH 15.07 and earlier allows local users to execute code at the logged-in user level. The installer grants the Windows Everyone group write permission on C:\Program Files (x86)\ControlFLASH\0001, exposing product files to unauthorized modification. Exploitation requires low-privilege local access and passive action by a logged-in user; resulting code runs with that user's permissions.
