Subscriber-level stored XSS via unescaped titles
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
Stored XSS in uSystems GmbH Webling 3.9.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through form or memberlist titles. The webling_admin_save_form and webling_admin_save_memberlist functions accept title values without capability checks or sanitization, while list views output them without escaping. Subscriber-level access is enough to persist a script that executes in an administrator's browser when the related admin area is viewed.
