Unauthenticated account takeover via unverified Spotify email
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Authentication bypass in LoginPress Pro 6.2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over WordPress accounts through Spotify Social Login. The loginpress_on_spotify_login() callback trusts Spotify's unverified profile email and passes it to get_user_by() as the WordPress identity. A matching Spotify email and the enabled add-on are sufficient to access the corresponding account, including an Administrator account.
