Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped Link URL
Published Jun 30, 2026 · Updated Jun 30, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Pluginic Editorial Rating 4.0.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via Link URL. The plugin stores the unsanitized Link URL in _wpas_er_options post meta with update_post_meta and renders it in review links without output escaping. Administrator-level access is required; the payload executes in a visitor's browser when the affected review page opens, enabling page modification and access to data available to that browser session.
