CVE-2026-12547Network attack vector

Proxy credential disclosure via authority-agnostic authentication cache

Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026

Information disclosure in libsoup3 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 allows remote attackers to read cached proxy credentials. SoupAuthManager reuses a cached Proxy-Authorization header without binding the credentials to the proxy authority, so a later proxy receives the prior proxy's secret. Exploitation requires privileged influence over proxy selection and a client request after the switch; disclosure is limited to cached proxy credentials.
