Subscriber conversation disclosure and takeover via IDOR
Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026
Broken access control in Meow Apps AI Engine before 3.5.5 allows remote authenticated users to read and take over private chatbot discussions. The chats submission endpoint accepts a client-supplied chatId without confirming that the current user owns the referenced discussion, then reassigns the record to that user. Subscriber-level access, a valid WordPress REST nonce, knowledge of the victim's chatId, and the nondefault Discussions feature are required.
