CVE-2026-12486Network attack vector

Privileged command execution via unsanitized IP address

Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026

OS command injection in GeoVision GV-I/O Box 4E 2.09 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via a network request. CNetSetObj::m_F_n_Set_IP_Addr inserts an unvalidated IP-address string into an ifconfig command and passes the result to system(). High-privilege access to DVRSearch or Network.cgi is required, and successful injection runs commands in the appliance operating-system context.
