Sandbox escape via Extensions use-after-free
Published Jun 17, 2026 · Updated Jun 17, 2026
Use after free in Google Chrome Extensions before 149.0.7827.155 allows remote attackers to escape the browser sandbox via crafted HTML. Google identifies dangling-object access in Extensions, but the restricted bug report leaves the specific lifetime error and code locus undisclosed. Exploitation requires a previously compromised renderer and user interaction with crafted HTML; success crosses the renderer sandbox boundary.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
