Contributor-level post disclosure via unauthorized status selection
Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026
Information disclosure in List Category Posts 0 through 0.95.0 allows remote authenticated users to read nonpublic posts via a shortcode. The sanitize_status routine accepts a crafted post_status shortcode attribute that selects pending-review, scheduled, and trashed posts without checking whether the requester may read them. Contributor-level access and previewing an attacker-owned draft expose other authors’ titles, content, excerpts, dates, authorship, and custom-field metadata.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
