Unauthenticated payment-record tampering via exposed AJAX handler
Published Jun 27, 2026 · Updated Jun 27, 2026
Missing authorization in Themeisle WP Full Pay 8.4.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter payment records via an AJAX request. The wpfs_update_failed_payment_status handler accepts unauthenticated POST data and calls updatePaymentByEventId() without a capability, nonce, or login check. A valid Stripe Payment Intent ID is required; successful exploitation marks a payment failed and overwrites its failure code and message.
