Contributor-level form modification via unchecked REST ID
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Authorization bypass in Priyanshu Chaudhary FlowForms 1.1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to modify any site form via REST requests. The update_form REST handler accepts the form ID from /flowforms/v1/forms/{id} and updates that object after checking only edit_posts, without verifying form ownership or object-level permission. Contributor-level access is sufficient to change content, design, settings, and draft or publication state for administrator-owned forms.
