Authenticated quiz-attempt disclosure via missing ownership checks
Published Jul 31, 2026 · Updated Jul 31, 2026
Broken access control in Kodezen LLC Academy LMS 3.8.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read site-wide quiz attempts. The quiz_attempts REST list and record routes accept a course identifier or attempt primary key but fail to limit returned records to the requesting user or that user's enrolled course. Subscriber-level access, a REST nonce, and enrollment in any one course expose other users' names, IP addresses, registration dates, scores, and statuses; unauthenticated requests are rejected.
