Administrator takeover via injected magic-login backdoor
Published Jul 7, 2026 · Updated Jul 7, 2026
Backdoor code in Uncanny Automator Pro 7.3.0.5 allows remote attackers to gain administrator sessions through a crafted request. Injected init hooks append a magic-login handler to uncanny-automator-pro.php, accept a _wplogin HMAC derived from beaconed WordPress authentication keys, and issue a cookie for the first administrator. Exposure requires installation of the tampered build; attackers then obtain full site administration and receive secret keys and administrator details.
