Unauthenticated sidebar modification via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Jun 30, 2026 · Updated Jun 30, 2026
Missing authorization in Premium Addons for KingComposer 1.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to create or delete custom sidebars via AJAX. The add_custom_sidebar() and remove_custom_sidebar() handlers use unauthenticated wp_ajax_nopriv_* hooks and pass requests to update_option() without capability checks. No account or user interaction is required; deletion can unregister widget areas and stop assigned widgets from rendering.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
