Configuration modification via inconsistent elevated-session restrictions
Published Feb 2, 2026 · Updated Feb 2, 2026
Anti-tamper bypass in BeyondTrust Privilege Management for Windows 25.7 and earlier allows local users to alter protected configuration. Elevated-session restrictions are not consistently enforced across all elevated execution paths, allowing anti-tamper functionality to be disabled. Exploitation requires local access and prior authorization to run elevated processes; it does not grant elevation from a standard account.
