Memory corruption via Web Audio boundary error
Published Jun 16, 2026 · Updated Jun 16, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Firefox and Thunderbird before 152, or their ESR lines before 140.12, allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via Web Audio. Mozilla has not disclosed the specific Web Audio code path, boundary check, or untrusted value that permits the out-of-bounds write. Exploitation requires a user to load attacker-controlled content; Thunderbird disables scripting while reading mail, limiting exposure there to browser-like contexts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
