Arbitrary post overwrite via unchecked payload ID
Published Jul 13, 2026 · Updated Jul 13, 2026
Authorization bypass in Themeum Tutor LMS before 3.9.13 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite arbitrary WordPress posts. The tutor_quiz_builder_save handler trusts the payload ID, skips the target edit_post capability check, and rewrites the referenced object. Instructor-level access is required; successful exploitation can reassign authorship, change the post type, and replace administrator-owned pages.
