Kernel memory disclosure via unvalidated stream identifier
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Out-of-bounds reads in the Intel ALH DAI driver in Zephyr RTOS 4.4.0 through 4.4.2 allow local users to disclose kernel memory. dai_alh_get_properties() uses an unchecked signed stream_id to index alh_handshake_map and calculate a FIFO address, then copies the resulting properties to the caller. Exploitation requires CONFIG_USERSPACE and access to the ALH DAI device object; an unmapped offset can also crash the kernel.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
