CVE-2026-12217Public exploit

Local privilege escalation via unrestricted raw-disk access

Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026

Improper privilege management in DVDFab Virtual Drive 2.0.0.5 allows local users to elevate privileges through dvdfabio.sys. The signed driver lets standard users open its device and forward raw-disk reads and writes from kernel context without Windows access checks.
