Authenticated arbitrary file read via syslog traversal
Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026
Path traversal in Intelbras iNVU 7016 FT 3.004.00IB000.0.T Build 2025-09-26 allows remote authenticated users to read files. The /RPC2_Loadfile/syslog/ download handler accepts ../ sequences in the request path without confining resolution to the syslog directory. Access requires an authenticated account in a Storage, Maintenance, or System group; successful requests can disclose root-readable files, including /etc/shadow, without modifying data.
