Prototype pollution in JSONata 2.0 through 2.2.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted expressions and bindings. createFrame stores bindings in a plain object, bind writes attacker-chosen names directly, and lookup calls the shadowable bindings.hasOwnProperty method. Exploitation requires a host application to evaluate attacker-controlled JSONata expressions with influenced bindings; a successful chain replaces built-ins and executes code in that process.
